About the subject
Building on the exploration and analysis of the written word at Key Stage 3, the GCSE English Language course gives students the opportunity to: impress with their creativity in narrative writing; express a viewpoint through sophisticated argument and demonstrate perceptive and personal readings of texts.

You will have two exams for English Language in the summer of Year 11:
Paper 1: Explorations in Creative Reading and Writing
Paper 2: Writers' Viewpoints and Perspectives
You will complete a separate Speaking and Listening assessment in Year 10
