About the subject
GCSE Geography is an exciting course! It is based on the balance between physical and human geography. It allows students to investigate the link between the two themes, and approach and examine the battles between the man-made and natural worlds. It involves 2 days of fieldwork that can involve both River & Town studies.

You will have 3 exams in summer of Y11
Paper 1 Living with the physical environment. Written exam 1 hour 30 minutes (35% of your GCSE)
Paper 2 Challenges in the human environment. Written exam 1 hour 30 minutes (35% of your GCSE)
Paper 3 Geographical applications. Written exam 1 hour 15 minutes (35% of your GCSE)
*Paper 3 involves pre-release material that is released 10 weeks before the exam.
