We were delighted to celebrate with our Year 11 students this morning as they received an outstanding set of GCSE results, marking the best outcomes in Coundon's history.

Students achieved record-breaking results across a range of measures, with significant numbers securing the highest grades available.
An impressive 83% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English Language or Literature, while 71% secured a grade 5 or above. These are the strongest English outcomes the school has ever recorded.

Mathematics results also showed remarkable improvement, with 68% of students achieving a grade 4 or above and 50% securing a grade 5 or above, both significantly higher than previous years.
Science outcomes were equally impressive, with 70% of students achieving grades 4+ in two Sciences and 50% achieving grades 5+, representing substantial improvements on national benchmarks and previous school results.
The success was reflected across the curriculum, with strong performances in subjects including Modern Foreign Languages, where 58% of French students achieved a grade 5 or above.

Students then spent the morning enrolling for Coundon Court Sixth Form, which continues to be an increasingly popular destination for students looking to continue their studies. Last week saw our Post-16 students celebrate an equally impressive set of results which saw students go off to Harvard, Cambridge, Warwick and other Russell Group universities, as well as on to degree apprenticeships.

We would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 students on their fantastic achievements. Their hard work, resilience and determination, supported by their families and staff throughout their journey, have resulted in a truly historic set of results for the school. We wish them every success in the next stage of their education and future careers.
